Travel by first-class public bus and stay overnight in 3-star hotels. Detailed Itinerary Day 1: Cancun – Arrival You will be met by a tour representative and taken to your Cancun hotel. Day 2: Cancun – Chichen Itza Ruins Travel from Cancun to Chichen Itza Park by first-class public bus and visit the ruins. Afterwards, take another first-class bus to Merida city, where you’ll stay overnight. Day 3: Merida – Uxmal – Kaba Head to the archeological site of Uxmal and enjoy a guided tour of Mayan palaces, ruins and temples. Visit the Mayan ruins at Kaba as well before returning to Merida, where you’ll stay overnight. Day 4: Merida – Palenque Travel from Merida to Palenque by first-class public bus, with a stop at Campeche Beach along the way. Day 5: Palenque Ruins – Misol Ha – Agua Azul – San Cristobal de las Casas Visit the Palenque archeological site and explore the ruins of this popular attraction. Continue to Misol Ha to see the impressive waterfalls, and enjoy a swim underneath the cascade if you like. Next on the itinerary is a visit to Agua Azul with its stunning falls, where you can also enjoy a swim. Travel to San Cristobal de las Casas on a 4-hour first-class public bus ride. Day 6: San Cristobal de las Casas Enjoy a half-day tour of the Zinacantan villages and San Juan Chamula. Return to your hotel in San Cristobal, where you’ll stay overnight. Day 7: San Cristobal de las Casas – Canyon del Sumidero Take a 2-hour boat ride on the Canyon River. Admire the mountains and the natural beauty of the area. Afterwards, continue to the Chiapas de Corzo villages and then return to San Cristobal. Day 8: San Cristobal de las Casas – Lake Atitlan Travel by shared van on a 10-hour drive from San Cristobal de las Casas to Panajachel. Day 9: Panajachel – Lake Atitlan Enjoy a full-day tour by boat, stopping in villages such as San Juan and Santiago. Return to Panajachel for an overnight stay. Day 14: Lanquin – Semuc Champey and Kanba Enjoy a half-day tour of Kamba and Semuc Champey and then return to your accommodation in Lanquin for an overnight stay. Day 15: Lanquin – Flores Island Travel by shared van on an all-day trip from Lanquin village to Flores. Day 16: Flores – Tikal Begin your day with a 4-hour trip from Flores to the Tikal National Park. Explore this world-famous Mayan archeological site before returning to Flores. Day 17: Flores – Belize city – Caye Caulker You’ll travel by bus from Flores to Belize City and then by boat to Caye Caulker. The overall trip will take around 5 hours.
