Directions to Centro Cultural Olimpo
The Olimpo opens its doors the 6th of January of 1999 to celebrate the city's 457th foundation anniversary. Its contemporary architecture provides to locals and visitors a space where they can enjoy all kinds of artistic manifestations such as dance, plays, visual arts, as well as conferences, science and other academic activities.
Its walls have housed art exhibitions from the greatest painters such as Dalí, Goya, Frida Kahlo and many more. There is also a planetarium where you can learn about the cosmos in an interactive way. You can attend these events and exhibitions thoughout the year; painting exhibitions last for several months before they are changed.
The Olimpo cultural center is located downtown, right in front of the main square. Entrance is for free and is a common spot for locals and visitors who are looking for a place to step out from the heat of the city for a moment and enjoy some of exhibitions the Olimpo has at the moment.
