Directions to MUSA - Museo Subacuatico de Arte
MUSA is one of the most unique museums in the world with its over 500 underwater exhibits of life-sized sculptures.
The subaquatic museum aims to promote eco-tourism and raise the awareness of the tourists about underwater life and about the importance of the impact people have on coral reefs. The structures that are placed underwater present the interaction between art and the natural environment which helps create an artificial coral reef throughout time. The museum is allocated in two parts with 8 and 4 meters depth which is perfect for both scuba divers and snorkelers. Since 2009 MUSA has become a very important part of the tourist offer of Cancun and is treated as a cultural and natural landmark.
The two galleries Salon Manchones and Salon Nizuc are located just off the shores of Isla Mujeres and in the Cancun-Isla Mujeres Marine Park that attracts over 750,000 visitors a year.
